Even from a young age, Michelle showed talent and aptitude for being an artist. After leaving school Michelle continued her learning with 5 years of Art and Design education. She graduated from Blackpool and The Fylde College in 1995, having specialised in Scientific Illustration.

The skills developed from these years of training have allowed Michelle to complete a wide range of commissions for over a period of 25 years whilst combining her part-time occupation as a Life Drawing tutor in Cheshire.

Michelle's commissions range from book illustrations, privately commissioned drawings and paintings, bespoke painted gifts and furniture, murals and artwork for signs, menus, leaflets and letterheads.

Michelle works from her studio, near her home in Cheshire, which she shares with her husband, son & various fur babies!

She is able to host a wide variety of exclusive classes in her Garden Studio- having over 15 years teaching experience you can benefit from step by step tuition in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

" I tend to divide my time between tutoring and commissions. Welcoming, in between, my own work - work that I want to define me and develop. I'm constantly thinking of concepts that engage me, technique or subject,  and am now fortunate to be able to apply myself full-time to a vocation I've always had to juggle. I like the discipline of measured drawing and accuracy but enjoy some expression within those boundaries. I've recently been using pastels on velour paper and exploring portraiture in oils and negative space. I think it's important to keep expanding and testing yourself, only then are you developing as an artist."
